Spanish Morion Helm with Leather Cheekplates

The Spanish Morion Helm with Liner  was a development of the medieval kettle hat. Consisting of a tall skull with a broad brim that sweeps upward to a peak at front and rear. This Comb Morion Helm is most often associated with Spanish Conquistador, however these helmets were worn all over europe in the 16th century.

This Combed Morion helmet is made from 18 gauge steel and is embellished with brass medallions. Segmented cheekplates of thick leather are riveted with the helmet and integrated with the cheekplates is a chinstrap with an adjustable brass buckle. A leather suspension liner is fitted into the helmet and a leather drawstring will adjust its fit.
